What we check, by symptom
WordPress core, plugins, themes, PHP, PHP-FPM, NGINX/Apache, database, Redis, disk, firewall, DNS, SSL — especially important if several sites on the same server go down together.
Core, plugin, theme or PHP version changes, server software updates, or web server config changes — we restore without unnecessary changes to the rest of production.
Blank pages, 500 errors, fatal errors, wp-admin down, plugins breaking — we determine whether it’s PHP, WordPress code, or server configuration.
“Error establishing a database connection”, slow pages, failed wp-admin requests, WooCommerce errors — investigated alongside MySQL/MariaDB and the server underneath.
Checkout down, product pages failing, orders stuck, DB problems, server overload — focused on restoring normal operation, not experimenting on a live store.
Plugins, WooCommerce, wp-cron, backups, bots or malicious requests consuming enough CPU/DB resources to affect the whole server.
Investigated across the whole hosting environment
Malicious redirects, unknown admin accounts, spam pages, infected PHP files, suspicious JavaScript, malware warnings, outgoing spam or provider abuse notifications. If the compromise extends beyond one website, we escalate to a full Linux server security investigation.

Depending on the extent of the compromise. If the server itself appears compromised, additional Linux security work may be needed.
If several WordPress sites on the same server fail together, the root cause is usually shared infrastructure — Linux, NGINX/Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, disk, memory, firewall or the provider itself. This is where WordPress-plus-Linux experience matters most.

Website, database, control panel, server or offsite backups — for compromised sites, we also check whether the backup itself may already contain the infection. The goal is a working and trustworthy site, not just the newest available copy.
Sometimes restoring the existing environment isn’t the safest option. We can move the site to a clean server, a new VPS, or a different provider — particularly after a serious compromise or an unreliable server.
