Exim queue, frozen messages, and mail that never left the VPS.
HestiaCP and DirectAdmin send through Exim. We read the queue and the reject log, not the panel icon. The server stays in your provider account.
Frozen, deferred, or a mailbox sending spam
A bad router, a full spool, or Exim stopped after an upgrade. We unfreeze only after the cause is known. Flushing a spam queue makes the IP listing worse.
Remote 550, no PTR, SPF still naming the old server, or Greylisting. The line in exim -Mvh is the ticket, not a guess from the panel.
A compromised mailbox or a script under the web user. We stop submission, find the sender, and rotate that password. The rest of the queue stays.
The panel rebuilds Exim. A hand edit may not survive.
On Hestia, Exim config is generated. A change in the wrong file disappears at the next rebuild. We edit the template or the panel setting, then confirm DKIM signs the domain that actually sends. DirectAdmin CustomBuild does the same to a manual Exim tweak.
€55 an hour for a queue. A delist is not guaranteed.
Standard work is €55/hour, minimum 1 hour. Mail down is emergency at €95, subject to availability. PTR is requested from the provider. A blocklist review is their clock, not ours.
Exim queue growing?
Send the domain, the panel, and one bounce line. No mailbox password in the first message.
