A managed VPS from a hosting company usually means they own the account and you get a panel. This is the other model. The VPS stays unmanaged at the provider. DirektSupport handles the operating system, the web stack, mail, backups and the incidents that the provider will not touch.
No transfer of the server. No requirement to buy infrastructure through us. Access can be revoked when the engagement ends.
What ongoing VPS management actually covers
OS updates, SSH hardening, firewall, NGINX or Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL or MariaDB, Redis, SSL and the control panel if you use one.
Service checks, disk and load review, backup status, failed updates, mail queue, certificate renewal and the usual production faults before they become an outage.
New site, PHP version, staging, a package, a redirect, a DNS record, a mailbox. Included hours cover normal administration. Larger jobs are quoted first.
HestiaCP, DirectAdmin, cPanel, or no panel
A light panel for a few sites: users, DNS, mail, backups. We install it and keep the underlying NGINX, PHP and Exim sane.
Better when an agency hosts many client sites on one VPS. CustomBuild, name servers and per-user limits included.
A single WordPress or application stack does not need a panel. We keep the config in files and you avoid another admin surface.
Monthly management, priced per server
Hours reset each month and do not roll over. Extra work is billed at the plan rate. Prices exclude VAT where it applies. No long-term contract.
One VPS, monitoring, a monthly health check, security updates, backup status and email support. Includes 1 hour. Extra time at €55/hour.
Everything in Essential, plus OS maintenance, service checks, configuration help and priority email and phone. Includes 2 hours. Extra time at €50/hour.
Proactive review of performance, security and backups, plus migration planning. Includes 4 hours. Extra time at €45/hour.
Setup or a single intervention, then you take it back
Hostname, SSH, firewall, web server, PHP, database, Redis, SSL, panel and a backup job. Final price depends on the stack. After handover, you can stay on a plan or run it yourself.
A full disk, a bad deploy, PHP after an update, mail in the queue. Standard work is €55/hour, minimum 1 hour, then 30-minute steps. Priority €75, emergency €95, out of hours €125, subject to availability.
The VPS we are usually asked to manage
WordPress or a small group of sites, with mail on the same server or split out. We tune the layers under the site, not the theme.
What a managed VPS plan does not include
Emergency cover is best effort unless a plan says otherwise. Provider network and hardware faults are reported to the provider, with the diagnostics attached.
More than 22 years on production Linux servers, panels and mail. The VPS can move later. Administration does not depend on one provider, and neither does the backup copy we recommend keeping off the server.
