Ubuntu LTS on a VPS. Not the desktop, and not a release that is already dead.
22.04 and 24.04, netplan, unattended-upgrades, UFW. A do-release-upgrade is planned. It is not something we start because a panel button offered it.
The release, the network, the upgrade
A new VPS gets 24.04, or 22.04 if the panel or PHP build needs it. An interim release already installed can be repaired. It should not be the target of a new setup.
A cloud image that lost its address after an edit, or a firewall that locked SSH. We fix it from the provider console if the normal login is gone.
20.04 to 22.04, or 22.04 to 24.04, after a snapshot and a note of the PHP version the sites need. Hestia and DirectAdmin are checked against the new release before the upgrade starts.
Desktop support, and a release Canonical already ended
Ubuntu Desktop is out. 18.04 and older can be recovered onto a current LTS. Patching them in place is not a service we sell. ESM is a Canonical subscription, not something we add.
€55 an hour. A release upgrade is agreed, not slipped in.
Minimum 1 hour. A new Ubuntu VPS setup, with SSH, firewall, web stack and a backup job, starts at €149. The release upgrade waits if there is no snapshot and no offsite copy.
