The work between incidents
Security updates on Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux or Rocky. A PHP or MariaDB major upgrade is planned, not slipped into the unattended run.
Certificate renewal, a log rotate that has stopped, a queue that is growing, a unit that restarted and was never looked at.
A snapshot or a confirmed offsite copy before a risky upgrade. If the copy is missing, the upgrade waits.
Inside the plan, or by the hour
Essential at €79 includes security updates and a health check. Managed at €149 adds OS maintenance. Included hours cover the normal work. A major upgrade is agreed if it will exceed them.
€55/hour, minimum 1 hour. A catch-up on a server that has not been updated in a year is often more than one hour, and we say so before starting.
No surprise reboot, no panel reinstall
Unattended security updates are fine where the distribution supports them. A kernel reboot, a PHP version change, or a panel rebuild is scheduled with you. Maintenance does not include theme updates or plugin development.
